Item #0322: For fast slicing and fine juliennes (and easy cleaning), many prefer this Japanese-made mandoline to other kitchen tools and slicers.

Consists of a simple plastic tray that holds a razor-sharp straight blade set at an angle. To adjust the thickness of your slice (from nearly transparent to 1/8" thick), a knob moves the front of the tray up or down. Simply place the fruit or vegetable on the finger guard and slide it down the tray and over the blade; a perfect slice falls below in the tray.

Includes a flat blade and three stainless steel shredding blades in fine, medium and coarse (which produce strips ranging from hair-thin to 1/4" wide). These choices allow you to quickly and easily produce perfect garnishes and sliced veggies and fruits.

Preparing foods with the Mandoline Plus is a fast, easy way to shred vegetables for salads, make attractive, gourmet garnishes, and unique raw-food dishes.
